Three Iberville Parish public school teachers were named and honored as 2008 Teachers of the Year. Capturing the honors are Marilyn Zito, a North Iberville Elementary School kindergarten teacher as Iberville Parish Elementary Teacher of Year; Penny Allen, an English, Spanish, and French teacher from White Castle High School as Iberville Parish Middle School Teacher of Year; and Tracy Martin, an East Iberville High School business education teacher as Iberville Parish High School Teacher of the Year. Also pictured are Teacher of Year recognition coordinator and Iberville Parish School System Supervisor, John Bueche on the left and Superintendent Dr. P. Edward Cancienne, Jr. on the right.
